Sensory Friendly Jingle Bell Express 2019

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday December 7

1:30 PM  –  2:30 PM

The Sensory Friendly Jingle Bell Express will take families on a short ride in C&J's double-decker bus to the festively decorated Cochecho Country Club (aka the North Pole). This Sensory Friendly trip is less crowded; has a shorter storytime reading of the Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg (copyright 1985); option to take a family photo near a Christmas tree, the fireplace, santa doll, or live Santa; twinkle lights decorating the double decker bus, quiet peaceful holiday music, but no video; gluten free snack; and quiet areas and stress toys available. A social story will also be available on our website and at the event. Pajamas are welcome! The entire trip, not including playtime at the museum, is estimated to take 1.25 hours.

  • Cost is $27 per person ($24 per person for Members) and children ages two and under are free (must sit on parents' lap during the journey).
  • Wheelchair access on the bus is available for all trips on Saturday, December 7.
  • Please arrive to the Museum entrance 15 minutes before your stated ticket time - the bus will leave promptly at the time you have chosen.
  • Check-in will be inside the Museum.
  • Restrooms are available on the bus, at the host site, and inside the Museum when you return from your journey.
  • The photo of your visit will be emailed to you after the event. Please be sure to provide a current email address when filling out the registration below.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. If your trip is canceled due to weather, we will issue you credit that can be used for any other Museum program, workshop, event, membership, or gift shop purchase, good through June 30th, 2020. No cash refunds will be issued.

This program is made possible through a partnership with the Cochecho Country Club, C&J Bus Lines and First Seacoast Bank.
